Illinois-Wisconsin Search Dogs is a search and rescue unit made up of volunteer dog handlers and support personnel.
We help find missing and lost persons, recover human remains on land and in water, and locate evidence utilizing trailing/tracking and cadaver dog teams.
ILL-WIS Search Dogs is a not-for-profit 501(c) corporation. We respond to local and federal law enforcement agencies, and fire departments. We never charge for our services and are available 24/7. We are insured. For emergency call out information, please click the red tab at left.
Our unit has been in existence since 1985 and has answered over 500 search callouts. In addition to regular unit and individual trainings, our handlers have an average over 1000 hours of instruction with nationally recognized trainers.
